How to lubricate a mountain bike chain

If you are struggling to maintain speed on your mountain bike that is easy weeks ago, you might want to look at your chain. Mountain biking can cause a lot of dirt and grime accumulate on your chain, absorb lubrication and prevent you from doing your best. A poorly lubricated chain can also cause you to jump over the chain, and stop your teeth from shifting smoothly.
This is what you need:- Chain cleaning tool- Degreaser- Bike stand- Ice pick or small screwdriver- Chain lubricant
Dry chain lube
1. Use a chain cleaner tool when you lubricate your mountain bike chain. Cleanup tool chain usually consists of plastic housing, filled with cleaning fluid, which can be attached to the chain of mountain bikes. Chain cleaning tools can be purchased at almost any bike shop or sporting goods store that sells mountain bikes accessories.
2. Fill chain cleaning tool with an approved cleaning compounds, such as degreaser that has been formulated for use on a mountain bike chain. Lubricating oils can also be purchased at any retail outlet oriented bike.
3. Attach the chain cleaning tool for your mountain bike chain, and run the chain through the degreaser at least three or four times. You will need a bike stand to prop your rear wheel mountain bike pedals so you can play free, or you can ask a friend to lift the back wheel off the ground. On most bikes, you can also rotate the pedals backwards so you can move the chains without causing the wheels to turn.
4. Check the chain for larger foreign objects, such as small stones and debris, before you lubricate. You can use a small ice pick or screwdriver to drive the objects of the chain.
5. Lubricate your mountain bike chain by using a product that has been approved by the manufacturer. Most chain lubricant available in aerosol can that features a straw or nozzle so you can direct the spray away from the rest of the chain and your bike.
6. Use a few drops of dry chain lube if you want to provide you with additional protection chain and reduce the amount of waste that will stick to the path of a new chain-lubricated.
Instructions:

You should lubricate your mountain bike chain at least once every 100-200 miles up, depending on the condition of the road or trail.
